A food knowledge sharing community.

Hi, my name is Maegwen Salley-Massie, and I have food allergies. If you’re like me, then you’ve had some major frustrations when it comes to your food allergies & sensitivities. Perhaps you’ve struggled with frustrations on what restaurants to eat at, how to handle traveling through airports, or what allergy friendly shelf products actually TASTE good? If yes, then this is the place for you!

I was diagnosed with Dairy, Soy, Gluten, Egg, Almond, Pineapple, Sweet Potato, Broccoli, and a Chicken allergy in November 2016 (along with heavy metals poisoning). My world shifted upside down. My first thought was “what the crap is left to eat?” I had to immediately start a new lifestyle and continued to see an allergen specialist. I learned a new way to shop in grocery stores, cook, and language to use at restaurants.

I think one of the hardest changes I had to face was how to handle family and friend gatherings. Holidays, birthdays, BBQs, cookouts etc that used to be something to look forward to evolved into a fear. I didn’t know what expectations I should have of them or myself.

From my shared experiences, my goal with this blog is hopefully to help make life easier for you but also for those who know you and want to participate with what you Need to eat.

I am NO expert. I am NOT a doctor. I am NOT a food allergy guru. I am however a certified living breathing human—who happens to navigate life with food allergies. I’m sharing from my table to yours.

I hope you enjoy, and I can’t wait to get to know you!
